| The
Long Cross Hotel
The Long Cross is a family run hotel
where consideration and relaxation are the watchwords. The Hotel began its life as a late Victorian country house,
and has retained many of its original features, as well as its charm and atmosphere.
In the grounds of the hotel is the Long Cross Tavern, a free house, well known for quality real ales, delicious
meals and magnificent beer gardens. The Long Cross Hotel is also proud of its restaurant The Potting Shed which
serves over 140 items including 32 different types of curry. They use their own home grown produce and all of
the dishes are of the highest quality.
The hotel is named after one of the oldest stone crosses in Cornwall which was erected on a spot that is now
opposite the hotel's East Gate, in the sixth century. The stone cross still remains there today.
